Jupiter is Useless gave what was close to a perfect performance July 24 at the Queen Bean. Their sound - a mix of piano melodies, guitar riffs, kick ass drum, bass beats, sound effects and exaggerations - was engaging and unique.

For those to have yet seen or heard the band play, it is an experience. When the music starts, the audience is put into a hypnotized head bang or a wondering daze.

With influences from Radiohead to Modest Mouse, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Scott Bartenhagen had kicked off the show with a warm and inviting performance. His ability to draw the listener’s attention with his gentle, airy and yet strong music and lyrics was quite impressive.
