It's been a busy summer for Icarus Jones. The Stockton rapper dropped his long-awaited sophomore album, "Smoke Signals to Satellites," and got together with a new band - The Collective - which features some of the area's top musicians.

The band played its first-ever show in May, and since then it has drawn raves at performances throughout California. On Sept. 12 it will return to Stockton to perform at 209Vibe's "The Art of Hip-Hop." (Keep checking 209Vibe.com for more on that.)
