Above, Birds and Batteries. At front, Travis Vick.

Travis Vick brought his unique blend of folk music to the Blackwater Aug. 15. The show was packed and many came to see the Manteca native along with San Francisco’s Birds and Batteries and Sacramento’s Two Sheds.

Travis Vick played for around forty minutes and was very enjoyable, his lyrics and voice are great and mesh well with the piano and guitar.

Birds and Batteries had a very energetic presence, their quirky electronic but not too electro folk sound was great. During the long set the audience was treated to a brand new song.

Two Sheds took the stage at around 10:30 p.m. and the wait was worth it. Lead singer Caitlin has a wonderful voice and was really a treat to hear.
