Lt. Dan comes to Turlock

Just got this press release from CSU Turlock:

"Tickets are now on sale for a day of celebration featuring 'CSI: NY’s' Gary Sinise and his Lieutenant Dan Band to kick off the 50th anniversary festivities at California State University, Stanislaus on Saturday, October 25.

"The program will include a Gala Dinner followed by a concert featuring Sinise and his popular band."

The kicker is that tickets are $35.

Now I liked... um, well, I can't really think of a Gary Sinese movie I liked as much as the next guy. Maybe "Of Mice and Men." But classifying his band as popular is a strech.

And $35? Is the state university system trying to raise enough money to cover the budget shortfall? - Ian Hill / 209Vibe editor
