Vote Independents!

South Carolina punk band the Independents are back at it, and they're coming to the Blackwater Cafe tomorrow on Election Night.

So, after you get out and hit the polls, if you feel like your head is about to explode listening to the talking heads break down the electoral vote count, go check out the band that was formerly managed by the legendary Joey Ramone from 1995 until his passing in 2001. Their style carries on the tradition laid down by the Ramones, the Misfits and Rancid, with rumbling, quick-paced rhythms and a flare for horror rock.

The show gets rolling at 7 p.m. at 912 N. Yosemite St. in Stockton. Cover is $10. It'll Grow Back and the Blameshifters also perform.
