July 19 was arguably the busiest day of the year for music and entertainment in the 209. Hundreds of people were slated to crowd Lodi's Hutchins Street Square for the OneEightyMusic/209Vibe Battle of the Bands, while 15,000 were expected in Downtown Modesto for XFest.

You'll be able to find coverage of both events here July 20 and 21, as well as an interview with Ace Enders, playing Sidelines July 22.

Speaking of XFest, the Modesto Bee's coverage of the event is disgraceful at best. Their story is a running police blotter without quotes with any festival attendees. It looks like the Bee didn't attend the festival at all.
